Rain in the house

The weather was so nice today. Finally we got some serious sunshine. Now I believe that it's late spring and I have only three weeks of school. But inside the house it did not feel like spring at all. Mom closed all the blinds and pretty much stayed in one location all day - the kitchen. She sat there for hours staring into her laptop and looking through tons of online job ads. When I came back from school, I thought mom was sleeping with her eyes open. She told me 'I'm looking for a new job.' 'Okey,' this is all I said. I didn't know what else I could say. But I feel very very sorry for her.
